    The Road to Private School

Calendar of the Transition Year 
(6th or 8th Grades)

5th or 7th Grade

Take exploratory test.

Verify which specialized admissions test is required and schedule test date.

Obtain recommendations -- these are filed with application.

File application as early as possible in school year.

Have elementary transcript(s) sent.

File financial aid application as early as possible in school year.

Schedule on-campus interview

Work on goal-setting for course planning.

Respond to requests for information from school.

Admissions decisions -- usually February or March.

Notify school of acceptance and send deposit by early March - April.

Attend New Student Orientation.
