College Countdown

  A Who's Who
  of a Reading List

The following is an abbreviated list of authors recommended by colleges across the country. Add to these, as much nonfiction as you can from autobiographies, biographies, history, economics, science and philosophy.

For specific lists of suggested or recommended readings, contact the colleges you are interested in. Books of reading lists from a variety of schools across the country are available at libraries and bookstores.

You will notice that even this abbreviated list of authors is quite long. You can’t read all of these the summer before you go to college, so get reading now!
