General Information

For those of you looking to dance, sing, or act your way through the next four years, the information and checklist for performing arts is specialized. 
A few items to prepare you for your college arts career are:
-    Attend specialized college fairs for performing arts
-    Participate in as many performances you can
-    Take lessons, private and ensemble
-    Work on injury prevention


Auditions and Interviews

Some items to consider for your audition and/or interview:
Be prepared, bring all of your necessary sheet music, costumes, props, programs from your high school career, copy of portfolio and any required photographs.

 

College Call Checklist

What is the enrollment in this program?

How many performances are required per year?

What are the professional credentials of your alumni, teaching staff and choreographer(s)?

Are there weight policies for the dance and musical theater programs?

How many dance studios and rehearsal studios are available to students?

Which art societies are on campus?
