HISTORY -- 

This project and resulting book was developed to meet the needs of assisting our children through secondary education into college. Quite early in the process, we realized the huge lack of valid information available to families about this journey. We began to research the college prep and admissions process and quickly amassed a huge amount of information. We were amazed that this journey truly starts, at the very least, in
8th Grade.

Ever the organized, we put together an effective program of information, questions and checklists that helps parents and students prepare for the college admissions process.

After years of research coupled with interviews with hundreds of educators, counselors and parents, at both the secondary and collegiate levels, College Countdown was launched.

College Countdown  is now used by schools and programs throughout the country as a step-by-step, year-by-year guide to help families and their educators with the college admissions process. College Countdown is the program that allows students to become successful in their college search and admission and allowing the top students to truly shine.
